Raymond Guy LeBlanc (1945–2019) was a poet and teacher from Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, New Brunswick. A key figure in contemporary Acadian literature, he is best known for his landmark poetry collection Cri de terre (1972), often regarded as a cornerstone of modern Acadian poetry. His work, both lyrical and politically engaged, gives voice to themes of identity, cultural resistance, and attachment to the French language. A lifelong educator, LeBlanc inspired generations of writers and readers through his vibrant and humanist expression. He remains one of the most influential and beloved voices of the Acadian literary revival.
