Camille Perron-Cormier

Fais-moi peur … Are you afraid of the dark

Camille Perron-Cormier is from Dieppe, New Brunswick. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and Design degree with a concentration in comics at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) in 2018. Since graduating, she has returned to New Brunswick, where she creates comics, illustrations, graphic recordings, some graphic design, and leads creative workshops. 

She has illustrated three children's books published by Bouton d'or Acadie: Adieu, Jacoby !, written by Renée Guimond-Plourde, Danielle Guimond, and Mélanie Plourde, Sous mon bateau, , written by Chantal Duguay-Maillet and very recently Dans ma boite à diner, written by Nicole Poirier. In 2023, she released her first comic book with Éditions Bouton d’or Acadie: SOS Sorcières, the first volume of the series Crapaud et RomarinThe sequel, Maude et le spectre, was published in January 2025. She is currently working on the third volume of this series.

Caroline Bélisle is an actress, playwright and very angry feminist working mainly in the Moncton area. A graduate of the playwriting program at the National Theatre School of Canada, she also completed training in acting at the Université de Moncton.

She won the prestigious Prix Gratien-Gélinas for her play Les remugles ou La danse nuptiale est une langue morte. The play went on to win nominations for the Governor General's Literary Award and the Prix Antonine-Maillet-Acadie-Vie, as well as the Éloize for Theatre Artist of the Year in 2024. Her other works include Camping sauvage et domestique, Dîner pour deux, Tuiles et Pépins – un parcours de petites détresses (Éloize for Artist of the Year in Theatre 2022).

Her work has been produced by Théâtre l'Escaouette, Satellite Théâtre, Théâtre Populaire d'Acadie and Théâtre des Béloufilles. She has also penned a host of texts for Le Pays de la Sagouine, including the entire Nounours series of puppet shows for young people. Nounours.

Iain Reid est auteur et scénariste. Il a écrit cinq livres, dont I’m Thinking of Ending Things, qui a été traduit dans plus de vingt langues et adapté au cinéma par Charlie Kaufman. Son deuxième roman, Foe, a également été adapté au cinéma. Son troisième roman, We Spread, a été nominé pour le Prix littéraire du Gouverneur général.

Jon Claytor is a graphic novelist, painter, and writer based in Sackville, New Brunswick.

Après s’être établi comme peintre à l’huile, Jon a récemment trouvé sa passion et sa véritable vocation dans la narration graphique. Il a écrit de nombreuses interviews illustrées pour la CBC depuis 2021 et ses mémoires, Take The Long Way Home, ont été publiées par Conundrum Press en 2022. Son dernier roman graphique, Nowhere, qui raconte comment on grandit parmi les monstres dans une petite ville maritime, sera publié par Goose Lane Editions en 2026. Il travaille actuellement à la rédaction d’un livre sur l’approvisionnement en drogues toxiques dans les zones rurales du Nouveau-Brunswick avec Ashley Legere, défenseur de la réduction des risques. Jon a également dirigé un certain nombre d’ateliers créatifs pour divers publics, axés sur la narration et les mémoires en bande dessinée.

Jon est né à San Francisco et a vécu et travaillé à Moncton, Sackville, Halifax, Vancouver, Montréal et Toronto. Il a cofondé le festival indépendant de musique et d’arts SappyFest en 2006 et a ouvert Thunder & Lightning Ideas Ltd. en 2013. Jon est titulaire d’une maîtrise en beaux-arts de l’Université York (2012), a fréquenté le Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (1991) et détient un baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l’Université Mount Allison (1998). Il a été mis en nomination pour un prix Juno pour la reprise de « Battle Of The Nudes » de Gord Downie en 2004. Ses mémoires, Take the Long Way Home, ont été présélectionnées pour le New Brunswick Book Award for Non-Fiction en 2022. Son nouveau roman graphique Nowhere will be published by Goose Lane in March 2026.

Née à Antigonish, en Nouvelle-Écosse, Sara Peters a étudié à l’université de Boston et a été boursière Stegner en poésie à l’université de Stanford. Ses œuvres ont été publiées dans The Walrus et Poetry, parmi de nombreux autres magazines et revues littéraires, et son premier livre, 1996, a été salué par la critique.
