She was born on the first day of summer in the City of Miramichi. The third child in a family of seven, she was raised by her maternal grandmother, after whom she is named. Her grandmother was the one who encouraged her to read every day, which developed her love of words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although quiet and stoical, she really is that surprise around every corner. She has read from her work at the Burnt Church Midsummer Festival. Her work appears in \ud835\ude0a\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude25\ud835\ude26\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude24\ud835\ude26, a collection of poetry by New Brunswick women and translators published by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/froghollowpress?__tn__=-]K*F\">Frog Hollow Press<\/a>\u00a0in fall 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">Judy Marie Augustine reads her text on stage during Prelude, a public reading featuring new voices of New Brunswick that was held on August 14, 2020 with the support of UNI Financial Corporation.
